Adam Cutchin Bio

Adam Cutchin teaches in the French departments of Barnard and Columbia. He holds a Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in French Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research and teaching interests center around the intersections of literature, cultural studies, and urban studies in nineteenth-century France and Quebec. He taught undergraduate courses in language, literature, and cinema at Penn and Bryn Mawr before coming to Barnard and Columbia.
