Provides a Columbia College senior with funding for one year of post-baccalaureate study at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford, in a social science or related field

The Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Fellowship, established in 2005, provides one graduating Columbia College senior annually with funding for one year of post-baccalaureate study at the University of Oxford in a social science or related field. The Fellow will live at St. Edmund Hall.

Each fellowship provides for direct payment of its recipient’s University and College fees, plus a stipend for travel and living expenses.

Current seniors in Columbia College are eligible, provided they are in good academic and disciplinary standing. Some preference is given for candidates with an interest in the broad sphere of conflict resolution, either during their time at Oxford or beyond.

Candidates must also apply for admission to their department at Oxford. Deadlines vary, but you must apply no later than January. You must indicate St. Edmund Hall as their preferred College. The fellowship award is contingent on your acceptance to the proposed degree program.
