Program provides outstanding computer science, engineering, and mathematics students with paid summer internships at leading NYC startups

FirstMark Elite is a competitive program sponsored by FirstMark Capital that matches outstanding computer science, engineering, and mathematics students with paid summer internships at leading NYC startups. The program will provide exposure to the growing technology sector and a summer curriculum that includes networking and mentoring events. Participating startups include Aereo, BioDigital, Dashlane, and Knewton, among others.

Specific benefits and requirements will vary slightly from startup to startup, but the program is looking for several common denominators:undergraduate and graduate students in computer science, engineering, and mathematics interested in software engineering, demonstrated inspiration to build and create, and commitment to gaining experience toward joining or launching a startup after graduation.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be able to work full-time for ten weeks between June 1 and September 1.

From those who submit applications, up to 45 semi-finalists will be invited to New York City in early March to interview with participating startups. Roughly 15 of these semi-finalists will be offered paid internships.
