University College London has strengths in many fields including Art History, Economics, English, History, Philosophy, and Psychology, as well as in science and engineering. Visual Arts are available through UCL's Slade School of Fine Arts.
Students normally apply to one subject area where and are required to take at least 50% of their courses. The remainder of the courses are chosen from the other disciplines. The main exception is English Language and Literature which limits course availability to students admitted to this subject area only. It also requires admitted students to take all of their courses in the department.
UCL occupies a compact site in the Bloomsbury area of central London, close to the British Museum, the British Library, the Warburg Institute, and several other research libraries and institutes. This central area of London includes the West End, Covent Garden, Westminster, and the City of London. Students live in residence halls with other UCL students throughout London and can take part in the more than 100 student organizations and clubs.
All students should consult the OGP eligibility page to ensure that they meet all specific academic requirements for each school (CC, GS, SEAS) to study abroad.
