Hello Columbia Community! I’m Claire, a senior at Columbia College studying Political Science.

I studied abroad in Fall 2022 as part of the Columbia in London program at Queen Mary University London. During my time abroad, I took courses through QMUL and with Columbia English Professor Edward Mendelson. Not only did I meet incredible international students while abroad, but I also strengthened my connection to my Columbia peers! Studying in London was a fabulous experience because I was able to immerse myself in the location I read about for my courses and I had the freedom to explore a new country. I also have experience studying abroad in the West Bank, Palestine.

Back at Columbia, when I’m not searching for an open seat in Butler Library, I can be found listening to a podcast, strolling through Riverside Park looking for dogs, or discussing my favorite Simon and Garfunkel song. I have roots in Illinois and Wyoming.
