SEAS Students

Ever Feel like you are stuck in Mudd?

You're not. Though many students at the School of Engineering and Applied Science may feel that studying abroad is nearly impossible, it is an option. The Office of Global Programs is dedicated to helping Engineering students enrich their undergraduate experiences through specialized programs in countries throughout the world.

In order to fulfill non-technical requirements, Engineering students often study abroad during the spring semester of sophomore year. This allows students to focus on major requirements during junior and senior years. However, with sufficient planning, it's possible to study abroad during junior year. In fact, doing so allows students to select programs related to their declared majors. The Engineering Student Council, in collaboration with the Study Abroad Office, is currently working to develop a wider network of schools and programs specifically for engineering students.

Students interested in studying abroad should browse through this Web site to obtain a general idea of what studying abroad for engineering students entails. Though the process may be challenging, the rewards are limitless.
