Acceptance Materials

Congratulations on your acceptance to Columbia University’s Summer Language Program in Beijing for summer 2009!

The items listed below are of primary importance as you begin your preparations. Please read the Beijing Handbook carefully, as it will answer many of your initial questions. We will send you a hard copy of the Beijing Handbook and an official acceptance letter by April. All forms that need to be completed are below. You will not receive hard copies of these forms. Please be sure to submit ALL required materials by the correct deadlines.

The items below must be received on or before March 13, 2009, unless otherwise noted. All items must be sent or delivered to our office in ONE complete packet. Please allow at least one week for standard mail.

• Intent to Enroll and $500 check
• Accommodation Form
• 2 Passport Photos in addition to the one for the CUN application
• Copy of valid passport (name and signature pages only – MUST show face clearly)
• CUN Application for Admission (hardcopy with photo -- see Handbook for instructions)
• Medical Form (DUE March 30, 2009)
• Transcript Request (Visiting and Barnard students)
• Arrival Information (DUE May 8, 2009)
