One of the main regional universities in Argentina, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNC) offers courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Fine Arts in a small-city environment near the wine growing regions. There are many outdoors opportunities in the area. Students take a required language and Argentine culture class, then enroll in regular university courses alongside Argentine students.
Though the university is most well known for its art program, students can also choose courses from political science, theater, history, anthropology, literature and more.
Students live with host families. The program includes three meals per day and students are housed individually with families in order to ensure the greatest integration with the host family. Mendoza has many musical opportunities students may get involved in and the local campus has a wide variety of clubs and outdoor activities. In addition, students go on excursions to Buenos Aires and San Rafael.
