The University of Manchester is one of the largest in UK with about 37,000 students. It is a major research university with strengths across the disciplines. Manchester offers most subjects and it is able to offer a very wide range of courses in a flexible modular structure. A range of teaching and learning methods will be used but most courses will offer a blend of small group teaching within a seminar and/or tutorial format. In Science and Engineering courses, students have laboratory and special project work.

Program Features

Manchester is a vibrant city of 2.5 million inhabitants located in northwest England. The center of the Industrial Revolution in the UK, Manchester has been reborn from its Victorian heyday as a cosmopolitan, culturally rich center for business, the arts, and education. Known internationally for its music scene and sports teams, Manchester is England’s second city and a lively setting for its large population of more than 70,000 students from all over the UK and the world.

The University occupies a compact campus a short bus ride or walk from the city center. The independent Students' Union, one of the largest in the United Kingdom, is situated in the center of the campus and access to its many amenities is automatic for visiting students who are registered for full-time study at the University. Students are offered university accommodation, and can take part in a huge array of activities from sport to community service to theater.
