Based at the University of Ghana in Legon, a slower paced city 10 miles from the capital of Accra, the program is directed at students who want to study the political and economic challenges
facing sub-Saharan Africa and developing nations, and as well as people particularly interested in West African cultural practices in various musical and
dance forms, as well as public health.
Students take a Twi language class and enroll directly at the University where they take four classes alongside of their Ghanian counterparts. There is also a Development Studies track that integrates community work, and independent study and two interdisciplinary core courses. Students live in a campus dormitory, shared program housing, or a homestay.
