Notes:

Based at Tribhuvan National University in Kirtipur, the program offers students classes in Nepali language, research methodology and interdisciplinary courses in Nepali culture and society. Students then undertake a substantive independent research project on their own design. There are also opportunities for ecology and environmental studies students to do field research. Students take classes and live with their Nepali counterparts. One term of Nepali is recommended before the program.
