Overview

Study at Tel Aviv University (TAU) located in Israel's cultural, financial and industrial heartland. With 30,000 Israelis and 3,000 international students at TAU, you’ll have the chance to grow a network of friends from all over the world. In addition, you will have the opportunity to take rigorous academic coursework and explore Israel's rich history and heritage.

Academics

You will most likely participate in Lowy International School in Memory of Shirley Lowy, which is an English-led academic program designed to inspire academic, social and personal growth. Lowy International School in Memory of Shirley Lowy offers a wide variety of exciting courses in the fields of International Relations, Social Sciences, Arts, Environmental Studies, History, Religion and many more.

Should you have advanced Hebrew language capability, you also may have the opportunity to directly enroll in local TAU courses as well.

It is mandatory to enroll in an intensive Hebrew course called an Ulpan prior to the start of the study abroad semester. Students with a more advanced level (defined as Level 8 or above) can be exempt from the mandatory Ulpan component.

Program Features

You can enjoy all of TAU's campus accommodations, and you will have the option to be housed in a number of different housing facilities. You may choose to be housed in either single or double rooms on-campus dormitories or in off-campus dormitories/apartments.

Throughout the semester, a number of excursions are available to you in order to become more familiar with the country of Israel. In the past, excursion locations have included: the Dead Sea, Galilee and the Negev.
