Overview

Study with the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad (CASA) at Trinity College Dublin. Ireland's first university, Trinity College Dublin, is a world-renowned institution combining history, tradition, and academic excellence. Trinity College Dublin offers a wide variety of subjects. You will mostly likely live in an off campus residence hall or apartment.

Academics

Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s oldest university. Located in the heart of Dublin, the campus is both central to city life, but with a campus feel. You can choose from hundreds of courses each semester in a full range of disciplines. Trinity is strong across the disciplines, but departments of particular interest are Classics, Drama, English, History, Sociology, and the Sciences. You will take classes alongside full-degree local students. You will most likely take a traditional course load of four to six classes per term. You will take 25-30 ECTS credits per term, which is equivalent to 15-18 Columbia points.

Full-degree Irish students traditionally study only one subject during their undergraduate career. As a visiting student, you are expected to take the majority of courses within your department but can take classes outside of it as well. You must meet any course prerequisites.

Program Features

Trinity is set on 40 acres in the heart of the Irish capital near museums, libraries, theaters, cinemas, shops and restaurants. On campus housing is limited. You will most likely live in an off campus residence hall or apartment. As a visiting student, you will have access to the University’s active student union. You will also have access to student clubs and societies that serve a wide range of political, social, academic, athletic, and recreational interests. The Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad will provide academic and extracurricular support.
