Overview

The IFSA Program at the University of Queensland is a supported university enrollment program offered during the fall, spring, and academic year. Students take all their courses side-by-side with local students in the University.

Academic Program

Recognized as one of Australia's leading universities, the University of Queensland (UQ) is a large, comprehensive, research-intensive institution of international standard. Established in 1910, the University of Queensland offers a comprehensive range of academic programs to its 37,500 undergraduate and graduate students. Faculties of study include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, Agriculture, Architecture, Economics, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Physical Science, Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Program Features

Brisbane is the capitol of Queensland, and is Australia's fastest-growing capital with a population of more than 1.8 million people. It offers a safe, friendly, multicultural environment on the gateway to the subtropical Gold Coast. The inner city, outlined by the Brisbane River, has park lands and botanical gardens, recreation areas, convention centers, museums, art galleries, a casino, malls, shopping districts, and a host of restaurants and cafes. Brisbane is also in close proximity to a number of interesting sites including the oldest rainforest on Earth, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Sunshine and Gold Coasts.

Students live in a university apartment complex with other program students. There is some availability to live in one of the Residential Colleges of the University.
